Dear Wildcat Cubs,
I am honored to join the WPE team this year! I am from Moore County, but have spent the last 20+ years moving around in support of my husband’s Army career. It’s good to be home again–my husband and I are excited to put down permanent roots and finish raising our family here!
Before I began my career in education, I was an Army Engineer. After several years in the Army and a tour in Iraq, I went back to school to become a teacher. I have been an educator since 2008, and have taught and helped lead schools in 8 different states. Everywhere I go, I try to bring positivity, encouragement, and kindness into every relationship I build.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, a Master's degree in Elementary Education, an Ed.S. in Administration and Supervision, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership. My husband and I have been married for 21 years, and we have six wonderful children, ages 7 to 18. When I'm not spending time with my family, I enjoy playing golf, reading, and running.
I am looking forward to a great school year, and hope to hear from you often! Building strong relationships between our school, your home, and our Wildcat community is so important to me. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns–I am here to support your child and your family in any way I can!
Respectfully,
Dr. Amy O’Neill
