Dear Wildcat Families,
I am excited that you have made the choice to enroll your child at West Pine Elementary. WPE is a wonderful place to learn and teach! I am responsible for ensuring that your child learns at a high level, has a safe learning environment, is exposed to new & exciting experiences, exhibits age appropriate behavior, and develops positive relationships with students & adults.
Our instructional program is aligned to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. The curriculum and resources we use to teach your child are vetted and approved by Moore County Schools. WPE offers enrichment opportunities for students include after school activities such as after school child care, service projects, and clubs. We want each child to reach their full potential and work with parents to support our students as they grow and develop.
Personally, I have been a school administrator since 2012. Immediately prior to beginning here at WPE I was Principal at Clement Elementary School in Sampson County from 2019-2024. I started my teaching career as a high school teacher in 1998. I have served as an elementary assistant principal and a high school assistant principal/athletic director prior to becoming a principal. I have one daughter who is in 5th grade and my wife is a high school math teacher.
